Milimani Law Courts Hear Sh944m Donholm Land Forgery Case Against Sowesava Group Members
Earlier in her testimony, the former National Land Commission acting chair Abigail Mbagaya informed the court that the documents presented by the group during the commission hearing of the land dispute, which she chaired in 2016, were forgeries.
- The original land was Block 82, which was privately owned by Continental Developers Limited and the same was subdivided into several smaller blocks, among them Nairobi Block 82/7813 to 82/7856, now disputed.
- The Gidjoy Investments Limited purchased the said properties In 2013, held the title and possession of the properties and had been continuously paying land rates to the County Government of Nairobi up to date.
- Issues arose in 2016, when the property was invaded by the unknown individuals allegedly instructed by Sowesava Self Help Group, who destroyed the perimeter fence and the container on site.
- The four are jointly charged with forgery of a land allotment letter, lease, and Title deed of a parcel of land measuring 11.8 acres situated at Donholm area in Nairobi belonging to Gidjoy Investment Limited valued at Ksh 944 million.
