Agnes Kalekye Nguna The New KBC Boss

Agnes Kalekye Nguna has been appointed as the Managing Director and  Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

This appointment which is effective immediately was announced by the Cabinet Secretary for Information and Digital Economy Eliud Owalo.

The announcement was made officially by the Cabinet Secretary through the Chairman of the Board of Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation.

Her appointment will run for three years.

Before this appointment, Ms Nguna was the Chief Operating Officer at the Star Publication and also the chair of the Media Owners Association.

The Board wished her well in the new role and the ministry is looking forward to her working closely with the Board of Directors in the revitalisation of the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation.

Others who were appointed to serve in the state cooperations are Joseph Mungai Kamau as the Chief Executive Officer of Athi Water Works Development Agency.

Abdalla Mohammed Hatimy and Philip Kiptanui Kirwa were appointed as Managing Director of Kenya National Shipping Line Limited and Chief Executive Officer of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital respectively.
