Man Released on Ksh 1 Million Bond Over Alleged Drugging and Ksh 1.3M Theft in Nairobi

A man accused of stupefying a reveller and stealing Ksh 1.3 million from him has been released on a bond of 1 million by a Nairobi court.

Milimani Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo released Godfrey Imbiakha Shikombe since the prosecution did not oppose his release on reasonable bond terms.

He faced four counts of stupefying in order to steal, conspiracy to commit a felony, and stealing.

The court heard that, on June 26, 2026, at Nairobi West in Lang’ata sub-county within Nairobi County, with others not before the court, he jointly conspired to steal by stupefying Eliud Ngare Munene by administering an unknown drug that overpowered him.

He was also charged with stealing Ksh 1,370,000, the property of the said Munene.

In another count, he was charged with stealing  an Oppo mobile phone from Munene, valued at Ksh 33,000.

He denied the charges and, through his lawyer, pleaded with the court to be released on favourable cash bail, saying that he was willing to comply with the conditions to be set by the court.

The lawyer further added that “the accused is a young man without employment.”

The Magistrate released him on a bond of Ksh 1 million with a surety of the same amount and alternative cash bail of Ksh 3000,000.
