Businessman Brian Yongo Defends Himself in Court Over Threatening-to-Kill Case
"I instructed the accused person to collect the debt amounting to one million pounds on my behalf, but I did not issue any contrary," Shanghani told the court.

Businessman and auctioneer Brian Yongo has defended himself in a threatening-to-kill case he is facing in the Milimani court.
Yongo, who was found with a case to answer by the Milimani Principal Magistrate Paul Mutai, called one witness to testify in his defence.
The brother of Ranjendra Shanghani testified before the court, saying that he is the one who instructed Yongo through his company, Neptune Credit Management, to collect debt on his behalf,
“I instructed the accused person to collect the debt amounting to one million pounds on my behalf, but I did not issue any contrary,” Shanghani told the court.
He told the court he never gave Yongo any information about Ranjendra’s wife or instructed him to threaten him.
Yongo is facing charges of threatening to kill and cyber harassment, which is contrary to the law.
He is charged with threatening to kill Rajendra Sanghani Raju, the managing director of Granada Trading Limited.
He claims to have received numerous phone calls from Bryan, whom he has known for many years.
The complainant reported that Brian kept calling through WhatsApp, claiming that he was appointed by Sanghani’s brother to pursue him over allegations relating to their family property and money.
In the threats, Yongo claimed to know people who might shoot Ranjendra to death.
The Magistrate adjourned the matter until December 7, 2026, for further defence.
