Court Sets November Hearing for Businessman in Ksh 1.6M Parklands Land Fraud Case

A Nairobi court has set a hearing date in a case in which a businessman is charged with obtaining Ksh 1.6 million from an investor in the guise of selling and fraudulently transferring a parcel of land.

Milimani Chief Magistrate Gethi Kibiru directed that the matter will proceed to the hearing on November 4, 2026, after the prosecution confirms the supply of all documents relating to the case.

“The hearing will commence on November 4, 2026,” the Magistrate stated.

Hassan Aliow Roba was charged two weeks ago that, on September 17 and December 30, 2024, at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud, he obtained Ksh 1,650,000 from Adan Jama Ali by pretending that he was the lawful owner and had the authority to facilitate the transfer of the land reference number 209/1220/2 situated in Parklands area, Nairobi, a fact that he knew to be false.

The hearing will proceed on November 4 this year.
